In general, pores tend to get bigger when they’re clogged or irritated. Many of them can be very visible, especially the ones on the nose. There are many oil glands situated under the skin. Men and women with oily skin tend to have a lot of larger pores. If you’re standing close to someone, it can be mortifying to know that the person can easily spot your great deep pores!
Luckily for you, there are some very simple tips on shrinking large pores. Try them and see which one of them is the best for you. Then, include them in your regular beauty regime for soft and flawless skin:
Massage ice cubes on your face:
Ice cubes can shrink large pores in several seconds! Do this after thoroughly cleansing your face to make sure that no dirt or grime will be trapped inside.
Rinse with cold water:
When you’re washing, start by splashing warm water on your face. It will open up the pores and make the removal of lodged impurities easier with the help of your favorite facial cleanser. Then, rinse with cold water so that you can seal those pores effectively.
Apply egg white mask:
Putting this kind of a mask on your face and allowing it to dry will make a wonderful pore minimizer! This age-old beauty secret also helps tighten, cleanse and nourish your skin.
Exfoliate with sugar and olive oil:
This kind of exfoliation will help you remove dirt and excess oils from inside your pores. As soon as they’re out, your pores will be noticeably smaller. There is no need to get your hands on the pricey exfoliating solutions on the market. Just combine 2 parts of sugar and 1 part of olive oil. Gently massage the mixture on your face and then rinse it off thoroughly. Try to limit the exfoliating to 2 to 3 times a week only.
Use baking soda to clean your pores:
A cheaper alternative to the above mentioned exfoliating solution is baking soda. Add several drops of lukewarm water into some baking soda and gently massage it on your face using your fingertips and small circular motions. Rinse with cold water afterwards to close the pores.
Smear yoghurt on your face:
Yoghurt is a mild exfoliating agent because of its lactic acid contents. So, if these already mentioned homemade exfoliating solutions are too harsh for your skin, just get some yoghurt and apply it on your skin!
Absorb excess of oils with oatmeal:
The excessive amounts of oils in your pores can leave them enlarged. One excellent way to get rid of them is by pulverizing some raw oatmeal with your blender or food processor, adding several drops of water to it and leaving the paste on your face for several minutes. Remove it with water afterwards.
Rub apple cider vinegar on your face:
A natural way to remove dirt and bacteria which are known to clog up the pores and make them enlarged is through a simple application of apple cider vinegar on your face. Use a cotton ball and apply the vinegar on your face. Leave it on a few minutes to work its magic. Wash it off thoroughly with water.
